An old man, a father, answers the questions I prepared. It is his first time reading the questions and the one and only time he answers them.

The son of this man was falsely accused and sentenced for a murder 33 years ago, and after the fall of the regime in Czechoslovakia he was released on account of being diagnosed with cancer. After he was further diagnosed with paranoid schizofrenia which had originated from brutal interrogations and developed during his time in prison, he stayed at home in the care of his parents, where he turned his paranoid suspicions against his loving mother.

I was given a copy of a letter written by Roman to his wife from the prison. His father told me, that simply by reading it, you could see what kind of person he was. To not hurt Roman, so that he could not see the letter published in media, his father asked me to publish it only after Roman’s death. During the exhibition in Nitra, Roman’s hometown, where he lived until his death, with the gallery some 2 kilometers from his house, I have turned the letter, that was previously always exhibited with the text facing to the wall, to the other side.
